Guide To Dwarf Hamsters |

Dwarf hamsters
do not
make a suitable pet for children
under school age.
Chinese & Russian Hamsters
are sociable animals and like
to live in small colonies if alone
they need plenty of
human attention.
Dwarf hamsters are
nocturnal, sleeping in the day
and playing in the
evening & night.
|

A good
ventilated glass
or plastic aquarium with a
well fitted lid are most suitable
due to their small size.
Wire cages should have bars
no more than 8 to 10 mm apart.
Chinese & Russian Hamsters
are hardy and do not require
extra heating provided they are
supplied with plenty of bedding
and are in a draught-free
position out of direct sunlight.

To develop
your hamsters
confidence & create a
bond with him you must handle

of exercise but they must

when not in their cage.

kept clean & dry with the
cage being disinfected weekly.

continue to grow throughout
their lives so require
mineral stones, hamster treats
and chew toys always

lose of appetite, listless,
coughing runny eyes, sneezing
or diarrhoea.

Always
handle your hamster
gently but firmly as with
all animals a nervous handler
will communicate this to
the hamster.
Introduce your hand
